| Green bananas: Say a person, since born, was institutionalized, either in a institution or home. Once a day, every day, was feed a green banana. At the approx meant age of 18, they got in a discussion of bananas. "I do not like bananas because they are green and hard", quotes the person. "Bananas are yellow" says the other person. An augment erupts, "I should know, I had to eat them all my life'. "You are nuts, everyone knows that bananas are yellow". Soon a fight erupts, so a third party has to intervene and explain to the "green" guy that bananas are harvested green and that a gas is applied to keep them green. Before they are sipped to their respective outlets, another type of gas is inserted to allow them to ripen up. This is an example of how brainwashing, indoctrination breeds stupidity! My parents were mentally sick. (I don't know the proper term for the carry on process of dysfunctional families). MY mother was the dominant one, (could not cook), and my father was the Submissive would take his lunch to work. Since we did not have a balance diet, my father would have a banana in his lunch box. (My father was not stupid, but crazy dumb). Somewhere along the line, he had heard that green bananas would give you appendicitis. So he would wait till the bananas would almost turn black before eating them. To make sure that he always had a banana, he would go down early in the morning to the market where produce was sold to the stores and purchase a case of bananas. At that point of time, bananas came in a long cardboard box. (Later, while discharging bananas in L.B. Ca. I learned abut the shipping of bananas). Then, as of now, they were packed in individual cartons. Back to the "sick"; since I was the youngest in this dysfunctional family, I was treated like a "slave" or "outsider". Being mistreated and/ or abused, I stuttered. Sometimes when I wanted a Banana, my mother would say, "those are Daddies". That and the fact that I/ we, were poor, my life was hell. Only now, that I am rich and smart, plus traveling the world, that I am standing up for myself and trying to save the planet from the GREEDY people, who by the way, makes everyone STUPID! |
