SCROLL DOWN FOR
MARIBOR
My Trips
I have to start writing about my trips.  I will start whith the last one covering the last 4 whith the first one being a cruise of the Medertrainian, then Athens Greece, (went there to
check out how they build on farmland), then to Eastern Europe and the latest, back to Eastern Europe.
I just returned from another trip to Northern Europe!  (Word)
On the way, on the plane, a man became ill, so the plane had to make a u turn and land, get the man off the plane, then refuel and then continue.  I landed, the plane, in
Warsaw about 9:30, waited for my luggage, one suitcase, which was not there, then inquired about a tourist office, but by then, was closed, cashed a Traveler's
check, asked the lady if she knew of any reasonable hotels, to which she replied that there was one down the road.  Bought a ticket, went there, very high class,
lots of moola, but hotel clerk helped me out and called the hotel that was close to hotel, to which I thought would be the expensive one, lucky, buses still
running,
went back there, charged a room, then went into the lounge to have a beer.  There was two good looking women there, but, after a few moments of
observing, noticing the low cut blouses, short skirts and 10 pounds of make-up, I thought oh oh.
The next day I caught a bus, wasn't too hard as they stop
once in a while-ha, to go downtown to Warsaw.  (The guy from Seattle was right about that street, traffic was very slow).  There was a line,(a blue rope) strung
along both sides of this wide street, for a long way, as the Pope was going to be a guest at same hotel the next day.  (Thousands of cops).  Found main train
station, booked a room on a boat, more about that later, took a tour, which ended on the spot formally referred to as the "Ghetto" where the German cops had
put a lot of polish people accused of being "Indians", whoops, I mean Jews.  (WE don't put local people in camps and then kill them, wait, what about the
Winchester and "reservations"?  Then, one of the young men who worked for the "Rent a Car" to which the tour Co. had rented, took me to the "boat".  I just
remember, it was the "Old Town".  (The Ghetto was in Gadx to which I went next).  That city is on the very end of Poland, north east, next to the Baltic Sea.
NOTE:  There ain't no beer in heaven nor in Poland.  Yes they have beer but not like most countries.  I always try and compare prices.  The hotel was average, a
beer at the hotel , where I waited for the tour bus, was about 6 times the price of a beer waterfront at men's bar in Gadx. ( After about 10 years of healing from
over indulging, I started to drink a few beers a day, which was wonderful when I went to Greece as the price for beer was almost the same as buying water).
Talking about bottled water, it proves that, at least in this country, proves that most people are like sheep.  However, won of the bad things about Europe, is that
you have to buy water., even in restaurants.  Have to pay topee also, most places.  (When I took the cruise, I was still not drinking, which probably saved me a
lot of money.  I drank soft drinks which cost $1.76 for which I had to sign a bill).  I found out later that I was being charged 10 bucks a day for the asshole to rush
into my room every time that I steped out, to which I did not sign to which the card Co. won't take off bill, to which I refuse to pay- so ha ha to the J.E.W.'s.
Yesterday, I seen Superman.  While watching the movie, I keep think about the "boat" to which I stayed .  The boat was docked between two huge, high and long bridges, one for cars and
trains and one for cars and trams.  To get to and from the boat, I had to climb out the sig zag stairs up the stantion to the bridge.  When I finally got to the boat, it was still early.  As there was
nothing to do on the boat, no TV or food, I went up on the bridge and walked towards town which was still way op on the highway.  I was warned by passerby's that I should be careful of bing
mugged.  But not me.  "What me worry"?  I'm tough, oh yeah?.  Well anyway, I took one of the exits along one of the stations.  They are lighted, except this one wasn't.  I had to feel my way
along as I climb down the steps.  I thought, "boy are you dumb".  However, since it was pitch dark, I thought that I would have an equal advantage.  When I got down to ground level, I seen
lights in the distance, so proceeded towards the buildings.  There was a little "jazz" club bar, so went in and had a beer.  The people there were interested in who i was.  When I told them that
I was an Californian and that mission was to save the farmland where I lived, they invited me over and bought me a shot. (Every had one, which is the custom, "salute'.  I then started back,
thought that i would take a short cut, got lost, as usually, ask a couple of police men what the direction of the bridge,  found the bridge, this time I picked a stantion that had lights, went back
to the boat.  More later---
MARIBOR, Slovenija
Yesterday I got so pissed off thinking of all the B.S., that I had to think of something good.  So last nite I was
thinking of when I was in Maribor the first time.  (I went back there about a month ago too see/visit two ladies.
(You know I got over the
SEX URGE, BUT STILL FALL INTO THE TRAP OF LIKENING YOUNG ladies).  I know that I
make a fool out of my self when I address meetings, but the common folk like it, however, I think/feel that I'm really
a dumb dum for falling in
love?
Well anyhow, the first time that I was there, I was walking from the train station to the bar to which worked one of
the ladies, and a man approached me whith a mike and asked me, in his language, if I had anything to say.  I said"
I'm from California and don't speak Slav(?)", he said that's okay, so I said " it's a beautiful country but I don't
understand why you people were killing each other a few years ago".  He replied, "thank you for your time" and left.
Now Maribor is a fantastic place, I will write more about the town/city, later.

I keep forgetting to write about my trips.  This will be a story about a story to which of I was thinking walking around the island.  I had to gone to Greece to investigate
and find out how they built on their farmland, primarily because of the biggest builders, which is building very expensive, poorly built house
on farm land here in Stockton, Ca.  So after touring the whole country of Greece, taking a five day “classic tour”, to find out, get educated on past civilizations, I
spent five days on the Island of Santorini.  When the ferry docked on the Island, you had to go up a very winding road to the town.  Well anyway, the Island was not
very big.  I spent one whole day walking around the entire town.  There was a cable car, small individual cars on a cable going down to the first/ old dock at the
bottom of the mountain.  Then there were stairs that would go up that would be about 10 meters at a time, going back and forth to ascend the hill.  There were
donkeys that one could ride back up for the same price of the cable car, to which I took.  I kept walking around and around, up and down.  At one place there was an
old church that one of the old wooden gates that was latched but not locked.  So me, being an idiot, went in to investigate.  It was on top of the hill so I thought that it
would be cool if I got on top of the building so that I could see the whole Island.  They had been working on the roof of the building as there were two planks crossing
an ally to access the roof.  So I walked up on top.  Coming back down, I said to my self, “okay, don’t get scared, be careful”, as if I had fallen off the planks, no one
would have know that I was there and I would have probably ended up as a skeleton.
All over Greece, there are little “kiosks” (a word that I learned in the train station in Maribor) in which that one could buy beer.  So naturally, I had a can of beer.  (It
was about the same price as a bottle of water, which is another story.  I never dreamed that I would ever pay for water. By the way, I have been to just about every
country in Europe, both West and East and have drank water every place that I went out of facets or fountains, and never got sick).  Getting back to the story that I
was thinking of writing, I was walking in back of the hotel, in which I was staying, that was about the end of the buildings on that side of the Island whith empty land
going down to the sea.  On the way there was an old abandoned fort like building with a man camping, living there.  Next to that was a giant round concrete slab.  I
walked over to it to try and figure out what it was, later I think that it was an old place where they used to mill grain with donkeys.  Well, I was thinking of a story to
which I would name M.I.L.K.  It would start whith the children saying “when will we get to go out side to see the sun”?  You see, in the future, if we/man keep going the
way we are, man will have to live under ground.  There will be more of this story, but I have to say, that, that night back at the hotel, there was a movie called “Re-
pet”, on TV, staring our idiot governor, Arnold.  The story was about how you could clone your dead pet.  I thought that this was quit a coincidence.  Hej, wait a
minute, maybe he isn’t an idiot but just evil.  In the movie, he was some kind of big shot and was “dead set” against cloning animals.  But when his son’s dog died,
the little boy made such a stink, along whith the mother that “Arnold gave in and went to the company to have the puppy cloned.  However, since he (Arnold) was
against the whole idea, (sort of like the “moral” debate on cell stems), the company secretly cloned him.  Now the plot thickens.
When Arnold finally finds out that he has a cloned “twin”, war breaks out.  It comes to the two fighting each other, through, I guess, unless Arnold has a twin, trick
photography.  (Sort of the “evil vs.”  “good” myth).  Now when Schwarzenegger ran for governor of Kalifornia, he exclaimed that “I don’t need any money, I have my
own, and therefore I will not have to bow down to anyone”. Yeh?  Well the rest is history, past and present.  Woody.

Note:  Some day I will go back to see, if possible, the beautiful red long haired lady.
A movie starts out in Greece, on the coast.  Reminds of the little beach
in Paros where I seen the history of the world in the layers of lava rocks
and glassed? at the Cristal clear water whith the creatures of the sea!
